travel while I-485 pending , how long AP will take ?

hi guys

i came to USA oct 2005 B2 visa valid till oct 2006 . got married to USC may 2006 .
july 2006 applied for I-130 , I-485 ,I-765 . got my EAD sept 2006 .
our interview was nov 2006 , the officer told us that will receive letter by mail within 90 days he didnt give us any reason why .till now we havnt got anything yet and its passed 90 days already , i sent them inquairy letter last monday . NOW i want to travel overseas , shall i go ahead and apply for AP . will it be any problem comeing back to USA . and how long does it take to get an AP .....

PLEASE ADVICE ME IF IM doing THE RIGHT THING..

AP will take about 60-90 days.
