Travel to US while H1 extn approval has been received

Hi,

My company had filed for my H1 extn. My previous visa is valid till 15th Sep. However, I have already received the approval for the extn. that has been filed.

I am currently in India. Do I have to get the stamping of the visa done again before I have to enter the US or can I enter the US based on my previous stamping only which is valid till 15 Sep 06. Would I get an I-94 upto the validity of the extended H1 at the port of entry if I show them the H1 extn. approval papers.

Pls. let me know about this.

---- You can enter US based on your previous visa and new H1 approval papers as long as you enter before Sept. 15, 2006. You will get the I-94 stamped upto the validity of the extended H1 at the POE
