Travel to Ukraine

Hi everybody!
Does anybody knows if asylee can go to Ukraine just with Travel document or needs a ukranian visa? I know that US citizens do not need visa to Ukraine, but asylee is not citizen

Yes, you absolutely need visa to your RTD to enter Ukraine. I went there last year with RTD and GC. Moreover, the Embassy requires invitation from Ukraine. If you don't have anyone there who can do it, it is better get the help of any travel agency.
 
Yes you need to have one. I used a travel agency last year myself - paid $150 for a tourist visa.
 
Thank you guys! I have a person to write invitation for me. How it is supposed to be written? Should it be notirized?
And how long it takes to get a visa?

You better call to the Embassy or consulate.

As far as I remember they require the person in Ukraine to go to the local police to validate the invitation. Then he or she should mail it to you. But yes, without travel agency you may save some money.
