Travel to the USA while applying for a DV green card

Hello,

I'm a french DV2008 winner. I sent back the paperworks few weeks ago.
I had already a 3 week vacation planned next september in Florida.
My questions are:
- While applying for a DV Lottery Green card, can I go to the USA with the VWP (Visa Waiver Program)?
- If not, should I apply for a Tourist Visa?
- Or, should I avoid to travel to the United States until I (hopefully) get my green card?

I'm a french DV2007 winner.
Tu peux voyager autant que tu veux dans la mesure ou tu n'es pas encore selectionne. Une fois selectionne, il y a plusieurs cas:
- soit tu te trouves en france, tu attends la reponse. Dans cette attente, tu n'as pas le droit de voyager et de faire une demande de visa.
- soit tu te trouves aux usa, sous un visa particulier : travail, etudes( attention: pas touriste=il faut rentrer en france) et la, pdt ce temps, tu peux demander a faire "adjustment of status" pour attendre la reponse de la lottery tout en restant aux usa.
Tu n'as pas a demander un visa touriste car les francais avec le passeport electronique sont exemptes de demande de visa.

Green CARD

Hi,

I haven't won the Green Card yet, but my friend did win. From what i understand nd after reading about this and registering to this program with www.USAGC.org I think that you can simply go to the USA with a tourist visa.
