Hi Friends,

I need an urgent information. I am currently working on H1 visa and i am travelling to india. I came to know that when flying through Emirates or Air India flights, travelling through london or paris need to take travnsit visa (some money need to be spended). Can some people share their expenses.

I apologize for posting non-immigration related question. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Feedback helps me a lot.

If you have a valid visa stamped in your passport you don't need the transit visa unless you intend to change airports.

Transit Visa

As long as you have a valid visa in your passport you don't need a trnsit visa. You need a transit visa for UK only...(If you dont have the visa). For Paris, I called the consulate and they told me that Indian citizens dont need a transit visa. Also I saw couple of postings here confirming the same about Paris.

In fact, I am leaving for INDIA in a couple of hours. I am going on I-485 and AP. I don't have a visa in my passport. I hope everything will be fine.

I hope this info helps you.
