Hello Guys, Happy New Year!!!!

I have an important issue and need your help figuring this out.

Me and my girlfriend plan to get married in Greece in the middle of July 2005. However, in order to apply for a Shengen visa, the Greek consulate requires the "passport" to be valid 90 days (3 months) beyond the planned return.

However, my RTD expires September 28, 2005!!! Therefore, my RTD expires within 2 months of my planned return for Greece. They will likely deny my visa!

My question for the forum is WHAT SHOULD I DO??? If I currently hold an RTD and it does not expire for another 8 months, Can I apply RIGHT NOW for a Renewal RTD so that I do not have an issue with the Greek embassy???

Can you give me some pointers?

Thanks,

Yeh, you can apply for a new RTD even if your current RTD is valid. Just make sure to attach your current RTD to the application. You will be able to get your new RTD by May or June, if you apply now. I suggest that you apply for your RTD in May, so you will have enough time to get the new one and will be able to travel for a longer period, if you wish to do so.

Good Luck.
