Travel to Canada

We got our stamping done on April 25th in Boston. To my understanding we can travel with the stamping. Can someone please clarify the below-

- What documents, if any, are necessary for me to carry if I am traveling overseas in order to ensure my reentry has no problem? Is the stamping sufficient or is it safe to carry some other documents?

- Do I need a visa if I am traveling to Canada? To my understanding gc holders do not need a visa. If this is correct then will the stamping be enough or do you think it could be a problem?

I asked the same question to the US Air ticket rep. yesterday in Pittsburgh. She told me that so long as you have a valid passport and a GC stamp you are fine.
