need to go to Canada for a week. I have my h1 (to 2003). It\'s a status and not a visa. Do I need to apply a new US visa to come back. Somebody say it\'s ok not to have a US visa if the trip is less than 30 days. Is it true? where can i find related information? need your helps-thx.

I have traveled to Canada twice but that was before September 11. At least before that you didn\'t need a visa if you stay there less than 30 days. You do need to however take necessary docs to prove your H-1B to get back to US. I am just talking about my experience. I would suggest that you talk to a lawyer to be on the safe side. Things may be different now after September 11.
