AP enables you to return back to the US after a trip abroad.

Whether you need a visa for a specific country depends on your nationality (passport).

AP has nothing to do with it. If you are from a country with visa waivers to Canada, you won't need a visa.

You need a visitors visa to Canada (if holding Indian passport)

You need a visitor visa to Canada if you are holding Indian passport. Your AP papers will be seen by US inspector at border and will stamp I-94 (It is the same process as if you are travelling abroad on AP).
