travel to canada from US

Hi,

Do I need to obtain a visa or apply in Canada embassy if I want to travel to Canada from US. I currently have US green card and am holding a british overseas (hong kong) passport. Thank you very much for your answer.

My understanding is if u r US ctzn then u do not need visa to enter Canada, but if u r a GC holder then u need Ca visa, which is issued to u, right on the border post easily thats what I heard...

You heard wrong.
My sister has US green card and she visited me twice with that. Even she did not carry her passport.
So, dont worry. If you have green card you wont have any problems.
