Hi .

I need urgent advise, please help

I have to travel as my Visa for canadian PR expires in March. This is also a business trip as I will be working for my compnay in Toronto.

I am on H1B extention beyond 6 years (8th year) expiring on Sep2004. I applied for my I-140/EAD/AP.
Notice Date: 07/29/2003
Still waiting to hear.

I had an RFE on (Education and Financial ability of company) which my lawyer replyed and was received by INS on 09/26/2003.

Now when I spoke to my co. laywer he says it is not possible to get visa in Canada. He suggests I should wait till I get my AP.

Can I get AP from local office in Newark? What is the requirements for getting an interim AP?

Please Please help. I am really

I don't want to abandon my Canadian PR as I am afraid of my RFE on education. Please advise what should I do.

Thanks
RD

There is no thing as interm AP. However, you can get an emergency AP at the local uscis office.

As you can guess from the name, you will need to proove an emergency to get an "emergency AP". The local USCIS office will ask for proof of the emergency too. Take some faxes and other related document with you when you go to get an emergency AP.

Can you not go to the canadian consulate and get an extention or postpond the interview date for your canadian PR?

Thanks for reply.
I have my canadian PR visa approved, which expires in March.
My canadian lawyer says in no circumstance I can extend this.

Is Business need a valid emergency?
