My firm attempt to transfer me oversea, but I am on the last step of my I-485. I don't know how this transfer can impact my I-485 application. Please shed more light on it.

Thanks.

Advance Parole!!! If you don't want to go, but your firm pressures you to, get Advance Parole and move where ever they want you to. But, do maintain an address in the US (change of address submission to the INS service center, state department) and have the paystub go to that address. Then, when you get your approval, avail a leave of couple of weeks, come to US using the Advance Parole, get your approval and then if you care to leave the company, do so.

Many will caution you on not leaving the company soon after getting the GC, so take care of that too.

Was told to go to south america for two weeks, lawyer said unneccesarily don't go , but if you really have to go, make sure you are back in the country before advance parole expires .
and in the end with big story about advaneparole the lawyer wrote in red my best advice don't go outside the country unless necessary, because application is scrutinised very carefully .

"there are lot of chances of being transferred to local ins office causing many delays."( this from other friends not lawyer)
