Folks, I am in the Naturalization process now (fingerprinting done, awaiting interview). I may have to travel out of the US for a week or so - is this allowed? Do I have to notify USCIS that I am traveling out of country?
Travel is allowed. One week is no biggie.
No need to notify anyone. I presume someone at home will be picking up mail, or it is being held ... USPS will not forward CIS mails.
While pre-notification is not required, it is still necessary to inform USCIS of the overseas travel at the interview (for travel before the interview) or at the oath ceremony (for travel between the interview and oath).
