HI ,
My OPT is expiring on 30th september , and I already applied for OPT extension , It's under process. And I'm planning to visit india and may come back on 26th sept prior to OPT expires. Do you think it is safe to do so ? And wht are the required documents? Any suggestions...

Thanks in advance

You should be prepared to present ALL 6 of the following documents at the US Port of Entry upon returning to the US:
1. Your valid passport.
2. A valid F-1 entry visa in your passport.
3. A valid DSO signature for reentry on page 3 of your OPT I-20.
4. Your valid OPT EAD card.
5. An official job offer letter for OPT.
6. Recent bank statements which show that you have funding to support yourself in the US while on OPT.

Job offer letter means official letter from your workplace that you are granted leave for the period you are traveling and you will be still working for them after returning(for STEM OPT extension minimum 21hours/week paid job E verified employer). However, I will suggest don't travel while on OPT is there is always chance for denial at port of entry!!
