I have a question, please, help me if you have information.
My mother is a permanent resident and filed a I-130 for me in 2001 but it appears that it will take too long to go through so she'd like to cancel it. I know people will advise not to cancel it but I'm ok with it since I do not want to wait 10 years for it to get approved. I really want to be able to travel and have a student visa F-1. If I leave the US I'll need to apply for renewal of my visa. Will it be safe for me to travel on my student visa if my mother cancels the I-130 since I do not have intention to immigrate but have had the application pending for some time? Please, let me know if you have some insights. Thanks very much in advance.
