I got NL from KCC and now considering my options on how to proceed. AOS seems to be a good option. My F-1 visa is valid for re-entry till the end of 2010 and my F-1 status is good through the end of 2011. I need to travel outside US this August-September. Can I be denied admission at the port of entry if I file DSP122 before leaving (based on my number I don't need to file I-485 before well after I'm back to US). Does anybody have any experience/information about how DSP122 may affect current F-1 visa. Is it safe to travel? Can they turn me down at the border upon arrival.
I heard of potential problems for the case when a new visa is needed and I wonder if having a current one makes it any different.
