We are planning to travel to India on AP.
We have got 3 copies of AP with us.

Do we need to carry all the 3 copies ?
Is it possible to use this "approval" for more than one visit until its expiry?

I heard that many tom-d-h's ask for this ? Any sharing of experience is helpful

thanks

carry all originals and make about 3 to 5 copies of the originals and only show 1 original and if they ask for the copies (which they do) give a copy.

While entering US they will stamp 1 original and give it back. This cannot be used to travel again. You need the other unstamped original to travel again.

hope this helps.

I've used these a lot

I have used my AP a lot. Most recently on Thursday.

Here's what works for me:
-Take all three copies with you (don't know why, but that's what I do)
-Present only one copy along with your passport when you get the the Immigration Officer.
-You will almost always be sent to the secondary inspection area.
-I asked why once and was told that the officers at the front don't have the special stamp required.
-I always present the one that's already been stamped. They typically stamp it again, but sometimes just write on the back.
-One time, the officer in the first booth did all the stamping right at the booth. I think I was just lucky that he happened to have the right stamp.

I don't even bother to take my EAD with me anymore. I've never been asked for anything more that the AP document and the passport. I don't think it would hurt to have though and I probably should "just in case"

Don't worry it's pretty simple.

I came back from India yesterday (06/20) on AP. If you have never travelled on AP, one copy will be kept by India immigration officials. The US immigration officials will stamp only one copy on your return. Take all 3 copies with you. Don't need any photocopies.

Indian immigration officials would need a copy if you've never travelled on
AP before. Thats what they told me.
