Though this topic concerns AP, I thought it apt to post it in a more 'active' message thread such as this....I'm sure Bajis, Tru can advise.....
I have sponsored my parents for their GC on a family-based petition. They also applied for Advance Parole in Jan 2003, but they have not received a response yet. In the meantime, they had to attend to an emergency overseas & left the U.S in May 03. What are their options for the returning to the U.S?
1) If I receive the AP approval for them, I can mail it to them & they can use it for re-entering the U.S?
2) If BCIS rejects the AP petition, is there a way for them to re-enter the U.S without harming their GC application?
