travel on AP while case is transferred to local INS

I recently have applied for emergency AP at local INS office and received it. (There is no emergency though) But I'm planning to go to out of US in Jan. Our I-485 case has been transferred to local INS on Nov 22. My question is
1) Would there be any problems if I travel on AP while our case is transeferred to local INS?

2)My EAD is expiring on 7th MAR'03. I have applied for EAD renewal at local INS. I'm planning to come back on 3 or 4th of March to US. Will the officer at POE raise the problems coz of my EAD?

How to obtain emergency travel authorization

I am sorry I do not have any answer to your questions, but I would like to know how did you obtain this emergency authorization, and how long did it take?
I need to travel next week and I am still waiting for the AP (delays are already over)
