Travel on AP when it is pending - Help

I have my H1B approval notice until aug 2009.I have expired H1b stamping. I planned to visit India at the end of oct. If I get the AP,

1 Can I skip visa revalidation and use AP?
2 Is it safe?
3 If I Use AP, Do I Invalidate my non-Immigrant status?

Applied for 485/EAD/AP on 6/12/2007 NSC
PD 7/18/2002
FP done on 8/10/2007
EAD approved on 9/20/2007
AP is still pending.

------> You can enter US on AP and remain working on H1B.
