Travel on AP on the Verge of FP Expiration - Advice Requested.

Hi

I need some advise. I have AP that is valid until May 2003. My finger print is expiring in the next one week or two. I need to travel to my home country and stay there for about 3 months due to some family issues. What will happen if I travel between October 1st and December 31st. ( That is a 3 month stay abroad ). I am asking your thoughts on various consequences. Please help.

MY RD is MARCH 15 2002.
 
If ur AP expired May 2003, I assume you must be having a valid H1 to travel. If so, I don't see any problem if you stay abroad for 3 months. I know people staying more than 6 months and did not have any problem at POE.

I have the same problem. My wife wants to travel to my home country for 2-3 months for personal reasons. This is what I found from my old FP notice. FP notices are valid for 3months from the date of issue. So as long you return withing three months you are ok. As soon as you return you can go the nearest service center to get Finger Printed.
If you are lucky you may get approved without second FP or FP notice may come around your return data. There is a chance that your approval might get delayed because of pending FP.

What are you guys talking about here? FP expires 15 months from the date of submission. AP is valid till whatever the date issued on the AP form. I don't think anything happens if you travel abroad on an AP and come back with the FP expired.
 
SORRY GUYS

In some tension, I wrote AP expires 2003 - It is 2004.

AP Valid until MAY 2004
FP Expires in a Week from now.
MY RD is March 2002.

Please advise and sorry for wasting your time.
