Travel on AP after interview

I think this might be one of the FAQs..., but I need to make 100% sure.
I had an interview at a local office, and my case is still pending.
My AP will expire in mid July of 2008, and I am planning to visit my family in mid June of this year for ~ two weeks, so, basically, I will be back to the States before July of 2008.

I know for sure that I need to have the original copy of AP and passport with me. I will take my kid (US Citizen; born in USA) and have the original copy of Birth Certificate and US passport with me.

Are there any documents else I need to bring with me? Is there anything I know about at the POE? Thx for you tips in advance.

You are good as far as you are back before your AP expires. Take your receipt numbers for the new AP you have applied though.
Taking your child's birth certificate is not needed. POE officer will not even look at it.
