Travel on AP after being laid off

My I140 has been approved and 485 was pending for more than 180 days when got laid off in June. Recieved my EAD/AP earlier this year before I got sacked. I just got a new job offer and plan to join them on EAD.
1. Can I travel on my AP before joining my new employer ? Or is it safe to travel on AP after I join the new employer ?
2. What questions are asked on POE when using the AP ? Specifically about the sponsor ? Who is supposed to be my sponsor , my previous company ?
3. Does staying laid off while 485 pending makes my stay unlawful ?

-----> It doesn't matter as long as you have valid AP.

2. What questions are asked on POE when using the AP ? Specifically about the sponsor ? Who is supposed to be my sponsor , my previous company ?

-----> They can ask you question like who is your Green card sponser, what company are you currently working for, etc.

3. Does staying laid off while 485 pending makes my stay unlawful ?

-----> No, as long as your AOS is pending, you should be fine.
