Travel in the USA using EAD as ID

Could anyone answer this question , is EAD acceptable as ID when traveling in the USA Domestictly ?

I have applied for DL or ID at the moment and just rec my EAD and need to go to IL quickly so if you can use EAD please confirm.

Alternative ID-only card available from MVS

You could apply for and get an ID-only card (not a driver's license) from motor vehicle services (MVS, or department of motor vehicles, DMV, as the case may be) the same day - you can use that for travel.
