Travel from/to Mumbai, India and for green card holders waiting for plastic card

While coming and going to USA from Mumbai, India will there arise any problem since our only proof of our green card is our stamping on our passport?

I mean what if the customs ask for any proof other than the stamped passport?

Do the customs at Mumbai, India ask for any money to be given to them before boarding on plane to US, if they don’t see any valid proof other than stamped passport?

well customs will never ask for any green card etc but the immigration officer might ask for one so long u have PP stamped u should be fine.
PS am not a lawyer but thats what I think.
