Travel Expenses and deductions..

Guys,

My employer do not pay my travel expenses as I had accepted the job in Boston with a promise to relocate. That hasn't happened yet and may not happen soon either. Airfare, Lodging, Meals and Incidental, all come out of my salary currently. Questions:

1. Can I get Tax deductions for Airfare, Lodging, Meals and Incidental?
2. Shall I take IRS prescribed Perdiem allowances (lodging $154 and M&IE $50) for estimating the deductions?
3. Do my deductions need to be supported by receipts? I currently keep receipts for Airfare, Lodging and Taxi.

Thanks

You can decuct moving expenses if you have paid for it and did not get it reimbursed by your employer.

Use Form 3903
