I have an employment based I-485 pending since August 2007 and have been working on EAD since August 2010.
My current EAD is valid till 4/25/2011.
I sent my EAD renewal documents to my employer on 1/12/2011. On the same day I got the news that my mother was ill and had to rush to India on the same day.
My employer filed my EAD renewal on 1/18/2011 (while I was in India) and we got the I-797 receipt dated 1/20/2011.
I got back to US on 2/4/2011 using a valid AP and started working on the current EAD.
My questions...
1) Will my travel have any adverse effects on my pending EAD application?
2) At the time of EAD application, my last port of entry and last date of entry (required on I-765 form) were New York and 12/14/2010. But they have now changed due to my recent visit to India. Will that cause any problems?
As per my understanding, since this is an EAD application based under pending I-485, there should not be any problems as I-765 states that I-94 is not required for applications filed under pending I-485.
