Folks

I have a question:

Is it possible to travel outside the country while your 7th year H1-B extension is in progress? The 6 years visa is still valid at this point and the travel is not back to the home country.

I would appreciate your response
Thanks

as i understand

As long as you have a valid visa you can enter. You will get at the port of entry an I-94 with the expiration date of whatever is in your visa. Now if by some means your current h1 gets extended your I-94 in the H1 acceptance will have a future end date. You need to make sure that the I-94 received at the border is cancelled and the I-94 received in h1 approval is valid.

Consult attorney in this matter, it is kind of important...idea is make sure you are always legal with your stay.

however you need stamp if you leave US

Are you sure you can get that outside US? It is very risky.
