Travel between RFI and BIO3, "lost" NP

Hello my fellow assylees!

Not trying to be an ass, just have a question.
I got RFI on February 2006(BIO3 and medical), did BIO3(FP, photo, etc), then traveled and "lost" my NP. Came back safely using RTD, then sent my medical.
Will USCIS ask me to send RFE? That was my first travel in 8 years and it was AFTER RFI, does it make any difference?
Second question.
If they ask me to send copy of my NP, I assume I have no choice but to tell them that I lost it long time ago. Will it slow down the whole proccess? Did anybody have the same experience?

Thanks

USCIS will ask you to list all your travels and where you went and how you went with evidence. Now I travelled maybe 4 times a year since the grant of my asylum and they asked me for all proof which I had. My sister never requested a RTD so they never asked her.

They go to your A file and see if you requested a RTD and they ask you. RFI is just initial stage as sent by a dumb envelope stuffer. When the officer looks at your case, its at his discretion to a)approve it or b)ask for more information. In my case he saw that I requested a RTD every year so he was curious...Maybe in your case, he/she wont ask you. It depends. There is no right answer.

If they ask you for a copy of your NP and they asked me, I provided them which showed I had not renewed it since 1994. You can write, I lost it and thats up to you. As you have visited your COP, its better you write that or you may get in trouble...

All I can say is, if USCIS wants to make a mess, they will make a mess. If they have some suspicions about you etc, they will do everything in their power to make sure they are correct before issuing you a strong status such as LPR.

I appreciate your answer, wantmygcnow.
Did they ask you to send copy of ALL pages of your NP? Can I just send first and last page?

Thanks

Well dont get caught with your pants down. Dont send copy of first page and last page of NP and then if you get interviewed you will be screwed. Right now just chill until you get something ok? Lots of us overthink things like, "What if this and what if that"..Well dont make yourself crazy.. Just chilll until you get something in mail but before you send something and SIGN SOMETHING, make sure YOU ARE SURE of it or ask a lawyer.

just wanna share info

when my lawyer send my all my info ...
they copy ALL MY NP .. from the first page until the very last of the page.
I suggest u do the same :)

As U mentioned that you've lost ur NP, I would recommend that go to ur nearest Police Station and submit a report that you've lost your NP. Then get a copy of the same report for your own records.

In the future.....if IO ask you for ur NP, then send them a copy of ur police report..... otherwise some picky IO might get suspecious as well..... Police report in today's date will look much genuine if they ever ask you for NP in the future. I was asked for all original documents.. originals NP, original RTDs etc etc..

Good Luck....

Singh6,

I lost my NP in December 2004. My parents reported it stolen in my COP because they live there. I don't have a copy of the report. Would a copy of a police report from your COP work if an IO ask for it??? Or do i have to report it stolen here even though is happened back in 2004?

AAsylee, correct me if I am wrong.

Aasylee visited his COP and came back with a RTD. He is scared that if the officer finds out he traveled to his COP(even though he is still asylee), he will not get adjusted.

So when he said "lost" it, he really meant that he can't show his COP passport because of entry stamps.

Yes, that's what it is.

AASYLEE I wouldn't discuss it further. Wait till you get an RFE and the ask questions.
Got your point.
But my expirience may help others to prevent similar mistakes.
