Hello guys-

I had a travel releated question.

Please post your experiences if any of you are / were in the following situation.

Need to travel to India, DO NOT have valid visa (6 year H1 and H4 visa completed for my self and family), have valid AP and EAD.

What are the posibilities of having any problems with the INDIAN immigration authorities due to lack of NOT having a valid visa? Would they allow a passenger to travel (return) to the US without a valid visa??

Thanks in advance to all your valuable inputs !!!

Should not pose any problem

I was in a similar situation except that me visa was valid at that time but was expiring in a couple of weeks. I just showed them my AP. I also know many friends who have travelled on an expired H1 (with valid AP) and have returned safely.

Make sure to have advance parole approval for you & your family before you leave !

You do not need Visa if you r in i485 processing stage !

There is no problem in travelling with expired H1 as long as you have a valid AP. I had trvelled to INDIA twice on AP. No body asks any thing about the VISA. The only thing you need is one extra copy of AP for "Air Lines", they would like to keep with them (A photo copy will work). My wife and me also visited to PARIS (France) this month using AP.
