I have just finished with my MS and I got a job. My Job starts from March 29th. I am currently on OPT. My OPT is valid atleast till DEC 2004. I have to visit India during the month of June. So, I am planning to file for my H-1B after I come back at the end of june. If I do that, do you think the 65 K cap for next year will be finished by June of this year since the applications are accepted from april 1st ?
If I apply for H-1B before June, am I eligible to travel outside the US?
Supposing I apply for H-1B in april (premium) and get my H1B by sometime in may, Can I travel to India? Do I need to get it stamped before I reenter?
I appriciate any help in clearing my confusion.
