transit visa needed for London? Urgent!!!

I am leaving today from States to Turkey and need to transit in London. It just happened to me that I might need a transit visa to London even though I may only stay in the airport.

I have a I-485 and AP. Also I am holding a Chinese passport. Anybody knows if I need a transit visa to London? I do not want to be stuck in the London airport. Please help and respond ASAP.

If you are travelling with an SP (and no stamp in your passport), you may need a transit visa. Otherwise they may not allow you to board the flight.
