transit visa in kuwait airlines ?

Do we need transit visa in kuwait airlines to travel via kuwait (not europe).
if the visa in the passport is expired. This is for my friend.

I dont know about Kuwait airlines. I am planning to travel by Lufthansa airlines and I was asked to get German transit visa to stay couple of hours. So it looks like all are potential sources of threats!!!

Did you manage to find out if you need one? I'm panicking now, cause I have been told I will need a visa to transit and I leave on friday,
