Transferring VISA while on H1 Extension

Hi

Here is my case, please advise:

My current H1 expired on March 24 and my current employer (Company A)applied for an extension in the first week of March, for which I have already got the filing receipt.

Now in between I got a job offer from company B and they applied for my H1 transfer. Should they also file for my Extension? I am still with Company A and waiting for Transfer papers from USCIS

Since Company A has already filed for Extension and Company B applied for Transfer. Whom will USCIC send the extension papers to?

You will get it from both the companies

When your company has filed for extension and you have the receipt notice you have a valid H1B Status in US. So the new employer filed your H1B transfer.

You will get the approvals for both the companies. If you receive the receipt notice for the petition filed by your new employer, you can start working for them usign the H1B Portability Rule.
