I came to US on F1 and after finishing school got a job and the company did my H1-B. Recently I got laid-off. I got my visa transferred to one of the Consulting Companies. They sent me the receipt # after filing it. It is going thru the normal process. If I do not get a job soon, I would like to go back to the school and get on F1 again. But I do not have any documents to show for the H1-B thru this consulting co. I have my H1-B from previous company and the paystubs but nothing from the company thru which I am transferring my H1-B and they are not at all helpful. They never respond to the calls or the emails. Please advise how can I get the status changed.
