I'm working in US on a L1 visa and my wife is working on L2 with EAD. She
has applied for her H1 which is still under processing. In the mean while I
have got an offer from a company who are willing to sponsor my H1.
The questions that I have are :
1. Can I continue to work for my current company for some time even after
the H1 has been approved ?. Due to contractual obligations, I'll not be able to
quit as soon as my H1 is approved.
2. If so, is there any grace period within which I have to start working for the
new employer and should I notify INS/USCIS before switching over to the
new company ?
3. After my L1 to H1 transfer has been approved, if my wife has still not
received her H1 by that time, can she continue to work based on L2+EAD as
long as I work for my current company who have sponsored my L1 ?
