Transferred to Local MO Office RD 9/17

The online message still says "RFE response receive and it will take 365 days" but today I was surprised by an interview letter from local office. The interview is in 2 months.

They have asked us for the following documents.

passport, I-94, photo ID and the interview letter for me and spouse
evidence of common residence & shared life (joint bills,evidence of joint financial assets and insurance policies)


I guess they want proof that we are married


The interview letter has 4 other items which are not check marked for us to bring in case anyone wants to know what they ask for in an interview.

Medical exam results , form I-693
current letters of employment showing rate of pay
copy of I-130 with supporting documents
federal tax returns for last 3 yrs

I can sleep in peace now.. No need to check online msg for next 2 months..

Its been a tiring ordeal so far, just want to get it over with.

Interview letter received - today.
 
Why did they ask you for the I-130, Is it a family based application or Employment based application.

They asked us only for the documents i mentioned in the first paragraph. The other things I mentioned are in the letter but are not check marked for us to bring. This is just to help everyone understand what other things are present in the letter.

I wish I knew man.. We had submitted all documents correctly.


My wife still has maiden name on her passport , but all the 140,485 fillings, license, ssn have her last name as my last name. Our driver's licenses have different addresses since I didnt update my address and we moved apartments. Plus we took AP to go to India. I came back last month while my wife is still there and will come back end of this month.

Maybe they wanted to approve it and found out that she is out of the country while I am here.

Anyway I am not too worried.. Atleast something is happening.
