Transferred I485 cases in a queue for adjudication

The USCIS note for transferred I485 cases mentions that the transferred cases will be placed in the queue for adjudication based upon their original filing dates.
What does that mean? Thanks

The adjudication will be based on your priority date and not based on the date it was transferred.

But what about those applicants who filed using NIW (EB-1)? Does infopass help at all in reminding them that my application exists? I am waiting for I485 approval since May 2005.
