One thing which is not captured in rupnet is the transferred cases.

Most of the rupnet registration for Nov/Dec'01 cases with no RFE/Approval might already been transferred and waiting for interview from local BCIS....

So I guess, Jan'02 shouldn't be too far.....as long as BCIS decides to move to Jan'02 only after completion of Nov/Dec RFE Cases...

Here is a thought why we may see January and Febuary approvals soon.

Many of the December and left-over November folks are getting 2nd fingerprint notices. It will take sometime for the fingerprint appointment and results (4-8 weeks combined). In the meantime, I could imagine that BCIS will work on January and Febuary cases, because if they don't than these folks too have to go for their second fingerprints. Second fingerprints are expensive for BCIS because they have to pay for it out of their pocket - they are not allowed to charge the AOS applicants again. I heard that the fingerprinting costs them about $60. Money is and always was a big motivator...
