Transferred means the case was transferred to a local CIS/INS office from the main center. For example, the case might have been transferred from VSC to Norfolk, VA. From then on, you have to contact or will be contacted by that office(norfolk in this case).

My case was transferred from VSC to New York City office almost 16 months ago for them schedule and conduct my interview.My lawyer says that usually they transfer the case closest INS office where the applicant live. Not work...
Since jan/06/2003 I am waiting for them to contact me for 2nd FP and interview,it is taking forever!!!!Unfortunataly!
