Folks,
I am getting a amazin' job at baltimore,maryland. I have my green card. its my wifes green card which is stuck at milwaukee local office.

Her Case was transferred to Detriot on aug 2002 after mine was approved. We live in wisconsin, hence we got the case transferred to milwaukee. she finally had the interview in june of 2003. but during the interview we found out that her finger printing had expired :mad: . she did the finger print the same day. but since then its just waiting waiting and waiting.

Its been almost 9-10 months. I can't believe it takes 0-10 months to do a fp check.. or whatever nwew checks they do..

so i don't know what to do now.

should i request to tranfer her the case to Baltimore ? .. or give a friends address (of wisconsin) as her careoff address...

With transfering her case bring her the green card faster.. assumuiing that they will process soon.....???? Cos we are just waiting now ???

RD= aug 2001
ND = sep 2001
Tranfer to Detriot = aug 2002
Interview in milwaukee = june 2003
2nd Fp june 2003

Contact senator and get the status as to whats happening to the case since she already had her interview done. I guess this will help the case move forward.
Also I do not think its wise to get the case transferred at this point.

if this job is realy good for you so do some osrt of arrangement that you move to MD and join it and your wife stays there till you get response back form senator office; in your situation after contacting senator it shudn't take awfull long time to approve at max 1-2 months.

Its up to you whether you can manage or not for 2-3 months 2 rents at 2 places, away from wife; flying on weekends.
I know this is painful but if you can endure it for sometime then all's well in the end.

If there's any other complication in wife's case then u need to decide on ur own.

r if you have any friends in WI; have them move to ur apartment if possible (just a suiggestion, i know u'll scoff on this) then there's no painfull separation or double rent etc.

Good luck and keep us posted on what u did.

Approved

Folks,
The timing couldn't be better. We just got the approval for her in the mail today. The case was approved on march 31st
