At what point is the case transferred to the local INS office? Is it before you receive the receipt notice of the I-485 application/EAD, or at a later stage?
I spoke to an IIO today as I haven\'t got any receipt for my case, even though it was filed in the end of July. I was told that my case may have been transferred to INS Hartford office(at Vermont, they don\'t have my case information in their system).
I am wondering if it is possible for the case to be transferred to local INS office without even getting the receipt.
