Transfer to H1B from L1A after Oct'07

I am currently on L1-A with company "A". I have got my H1-B approved in mid Sept through Company "B" but have not yet started working for company "B". My queries are

1) Can I continue working on L1A for company "A" till I get a job through Company "B"? If "Yes" then till when?
2) In case I get a good job offer from Company "C" then can I transfer my H1-B to company "C" without joining Company "B"?

Answers below:
1. What is the start date mentioned in the approval notice of Company B? From that date your status changes ... you become employed by company B. So, the answer is 'No'.
2. If you want to transfer the H-1B from employer B to another employer C, then you need to have paystubs from 'B'.
