Has this happened to anyone:
I requested the Montreal consulate on my I-140, however, when I received the Immigrant Visa fee bill I noticed that my case interview is transferred to Warsaw. I was born in Poland, but lived in Canada for about 20 years. I have both citizenships. I would prefer to travel to Montreal since it is much closer (i.e., I can drive rather than having to take a plane).
I understand from having spoken to NVC that I can request Montreal again, however, there is no guarantee that my request will be granted + NVC told me that such a request will delay my case.
Has a similar situation happened to anyone in this forum?
If so, were you successful in rerouting your case to the originally requested consulate?
How long did this request delay your case?
