My friend is in his 6th yr H1. He filed for LC and plans to file for 140 after that. Based on the 140 approval he'll apply for an H1 extension for three years (he says). Can he get a 3 yr extension? I thought it's only for one year.
More importantly, once the extension is granted (whether for one yr or 3 yrs) can he use that extension and do an H1 transfer or is he stuck with his employer till he gets the GC?
If he can tansfer, will he be allowed to keep the original LC PD and file for LC and 140 all over again and continue?
Thanks,
