Transfer case

My case is transferred to local center Memphis from VSC for conducting interview (after waiting 20 months). when i called BCIS, they told me that it could take up to 18 months to conduct an interview at Memphis center. I may move to Columbus, Ohio soon where waiting time is about 6 months .
My questions are :
1) Is it a good idea of contacting local senetor for early interview? do they try to help for these type of cases?
2) Is it possible to transfer I485 file from one center to another?
3) If possible, is it a good idea of requsting file transfer to columbus and usually how long it takes?

Any info is helpful. Please share your experience and knowledge.

trasfer notice

hey
sorry not the answer for your question, just one of my own questions.
i read somewhere that transfer notices for interviews and general transfer for reducing the backlog etc are worded differently. just wanted to see if anyone has any clue abt this?

coz i got a letter saying my case was trasferred to speed up processing and the local office would notify me once the decision was made. it doesnt say anything abt a interview but u never know. so if anyone has had similar experiences plzzzzzzzzzzzz let me know, so i can sleep at night.

Speed up processing...... They sent my case to Chicago last year (June 2002) to "expedite" processing.... RD June '01. Nothing about interview. Nothing from Chicago yet except for second FP and yes.... There will be an interview no matter what the transfer notice says. dont know if this will help you sleep.. probably not, I guess. Once it gets to the local office, you are in the same queue as all other applicants regardless of filing category
