My case got transferred to Atlanta last week. I don't know why. But I heard it takes a while before I get my interview call.
I did some homework past three days, spoke to friends, participated in various discussion forums and yesterday I spoke with BCIS too. The only common item that came across was form AC21. And I said I don’t know but I will check if this was sent. One of the participants who went through a similar experience, had to send AC21 in his case to reverse BCIS misinterpretation.
I am also intrigued by the fact that I am a resident of Georgia and employed in Boston. I was hoping that as soon as my Green card is done I would relocate. Till then I need to be a resident of GA, I guess. Delay caused by transfer is also hitting me professionally. My employer has sent constant reminders asking me to relocate ASAP. I was hoping I will do it once for all after I get my GC.
If I relocate to Boston, I may need to come down to Atlanta for interview. I don’t know how BCIS would deal with that. Vice versa how would they see if I reside in Atlanta but continue working in Boston. The complexities are growing.
Please advise. My attorney, for once, has agreed to speak to me on Monday to explore how he can help expedite the case. What stand shall I take?
