Have a strange situation. Im a USCitizen, and applied for mothers green card in aug. 2004 with Missouri Svc. Ctr. Received physical green card by mail on aug. 2005, again from the Missouri Service Ctr.
today (9/21), I received a case status notification online, that stated that "the I485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status was transferred to an office in CALIFORNIA SERVICE CENTER for processing. Our office in CALIFORNIA SERVICE CENTER will send you a written decision as soon as processing is complete. You should receive a notice informing you that your case has been transferred to a local office."
I verified with the Phone # for national customer service center - and the officer seemed confused too. did not give me a direct answer on what I should do.
is this normal? should I be concerned ?
Do I have to tell them (California Svc. Ctr) - what they should be doing with their paperwork??
