Hello,

What is a difference between transfer and portability? If I change my job, how will h1b cap affect on my new h1b? How soon can I work for new company?

If you are currently in an H1 status, you can transfer your H1 to any other employer. You can begin to work for the new employer once you receive a receipt notice for your H1 transfer, no need to wait for approval of the transfer.

What if H1 Transfer is denied

What will happen if we transfer to another company with the H1 Receipt and later the H1 transfer gets denied?

In the above scenario, can we transfer to yet another company with the H1 Receipt that we had received earlier from the first transfer?
