transcripts of MA state tax returns

FYI, I have called MA state at 617-887-6367 to request transcripts of last 3 years of state tax returns for me and my husband. I was told I needed to make the request in writing and that the wait time is 4-8 weeks. Hopefully, this will not delay my CP process. My I-140 was just approved on 6/20/04 and I am going through the Montreal consulate. I just wanted to inform fellow CPiers so you can plan your time accordingly.
 
You do not need the state transcripts. The Federal is good enough. Take copies of 1040/W2 alongwith.
 
I was planning to just take the coplies of my returns. Is that good enough? Is it better to request transcripts from IRS to prove it is a valid return?

I am not absolutely sure whether you do, or do not need the federal tax return transcripts. However, I've read in a number of chat rooms that people were obtaining them. It's an easy enough process that can be done telephonically (I don't have the number in front of me, but it was mentioned in one of the threads here). It takes a couple of days to get the federal transcripts and it's free.
 
Agree with the above. But it might take about a week after you ordered.

Some of us (including yours truely) was not asked at all, but it's better to carry it along.
